Dirty Dog Spritzer: A Recipe

How about a recipe for Fido this week?
Between Baths, Dirty Dog Spritzer

1 Tea bag
8oz Water
1tspn Apple Cidar Vinigar
3 drops Lavender or peppermint Essential Oil
Vitamin E capsule (cut to squeeze contents out)
1/2 tspn castor oil
Mister Bottle

Steep your tea good & strong, add all other ingredients & pour into mister bottle.
This makes a great mist to eliminate odors between baths. The vinigar hides odors, the vit E & castor make the coat shine, the peppermint and lavender make your pooch smell fresh.

NEVER use Essential oils on any cat, it could be deadly. Do not use on puppies. Please check with your vet before using any other essential oils on your dog.

Cupcake Notecards: One of my favorite things!

My favorites list is overflowing at etsy! Each week I would like to share with you one of my personal favs. This week it's Cupcake notecards by April!

April is founder & creator of Creative Apples & I absolutely love her artsy photo notecards! They are the perfect little all purpose cards to keep on hand for most any friend, loved one, celebration or birthday (not to mention how perfect they would be to give as gifts in sets of 3 or 5.) Cupcakes not your thing? April's got snails, robots, superman, scary dolls and more. You are sure to find a card ( or 2 or 4 or 8) to make you smile!

April has lived in Chicago her entire life and only dreams about leaving during the long, cold, and grey winters. April’s real passion lies in creating and believes the best kind of art is one that you can share with other people. She draws, paints, scrapbooks, is an avid and enthusiastic photographer, and has recently delved into the world of knitting. She hopes to share these creative endeavors with everyone!

  • 1 Pack unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 C liquid soap
  • 3/4 C water
  • Food coloring
  • Fragrance oil (optional)
  • jar with lid
Boil water & pour into a mixing bowl, add gelatin & mix until dissolved .
Add liquid soap into the gelatin & mix in the bowl.
Add 1-2 drops of food coloring & 1-2 drops of fragrance. Stir gently.
Pour mixture into storage container, refrigerate until set.
To use add a small amount under running water or scoop some out to use in place of soap while in the tub.

Unused jelly should be stored in the fridge & thrown out after 2 weeks to prevent mold.

Loteria Wristlets: One of my fav things!

My favorites list is overflowing at etsy! Each week I would like to share with you one of my personal favs. This week it's Loteria Wristlets by Missy!

Missy is the owner & creator of http://www.missymayd.etsy.com/ . All of her items are handcrafted (sewn by Missy and hand silk screened by her hubbie - Speed Demon Screen Printing). No two items are ever alike! Residing in San Antonio Texas, she is a founding member of the Alamo City Craft Union and has a my space page at: www.myspace.com/alamocitycraftunion.

While Missy makes a variety of wristlets, bags, totes, T-shirt, dresses, headbands and the list goes on... My personal fav is her Loteria Wristlets. I own 2 and that is just not enough. Even the linings are adorable in fun prints like leopard or cherries! (Note to self: buy more wristlets!)
