Dallas World Aquarium

Feeding time for the Mantees. These amazing animals were just inches away on the other side of the glass. They are in a huge river habitat with dozens of other creatures both in the water and on land. Most of the habitat is viewed from above but there is a glass window on one side of the habitat where you can view them at eye level.

Here is shot taken, looking up at Sting rays & Sharks, while walking through a glass tunnel. Now that is not an angle you see everyday!

Chocolicious Sugar Scrub: A Recipe

I thought it might be fun to post make at home recipes on my blog from time to time, so here is the first of many to come!

INGREDIENTS:
1 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder
1/2 Cup Sugar (brown or white)
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil (Soybean, Canola, Sunflower, your choice)
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

DIRECTIONS:
Mix all ingredients together. Rub into moist skin (in the shower is best) in a circular motion to exfoliate tired skin and increase circulation.

This delicious scrub will leave you glowing!

ABOUT:
Because this scrub does not contain a preservative, it should be used the day it is made. Please discard any unused portion. Preservatives are VERY important in scrubs. When water is introduced into a scrub (via a splash, a wet hand or steam) the water brings bacteria with it. Bacteria would just love to run a muck in your sugar scrubs! Please be careful and make sure your scrubs are properly preserved or that scrubs with out preservative are used up while still fresh!

Who would have thought?

Who would have thought? Last spring a friend asked if I could create an all natural deodorant effective enough for an adult to use, but gentle enough for her *tween* daughter. I was reluctant to take on the task but finally decided to give it a whirl.

The results were very surprising! This is my #1 HOTTEST selling item! My *Butter Bars*, comprised simply of Soybean Oil, Beeswax, Sunflower Oil, Baking Soda, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, are a healthy way to get an extra boost of silky smooth to your delicate under arm skin. The added baking soda acts as a NATURAL deodorant. A win-win situation!
