Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast, directed by Francis Dodds, was performed by the Corsicana Children's Company on April 24, 25, 26 & twice on the 27th. The cast was full of young people ages 9-16 while lights and sound were run by children 13-16.

My daughter was in the cast and it was absolutely exhausting. Rehearsals ran daily for 6 weeks, even on Sundays. All their handwork paid off, the show was VERY well received. I was fearful the boys would get out of control during the sword fight (goodness knows they broke 13 wooden swords during rehearsals!) and injure an audience member but that didn't happen (sigh of relief!).

I did my part too as the scenic artist as well as assistant stage manager. There won't be another Children's show until November. We can hardly wait!

What's in MY purse?

A bottle of Head-To-Toe Body Mist, what else?

With warmer weather approaching I wouldn't be caught dead without a bottle of hydrating body mist in my bag. It a quick boost of cool moisture and fragrance anytime you need it.

Try misting it on your hair before you run a comb through it to cut down on tangles.

I have a bottle of Pink Sugar in my purse, a bottle of Satsuma Citrus on my vanity and a bottle of Garden Mint in my gym bag!

Herbal Hair Rinse: A Recipe

Do you desire silky, shiny and manageable hair? Are you tired of dull and lifeless hair? You might just need to restore your hair's PH Balance. An easy way to do that is with an Herbal Hair Rinse.

Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 Tea Bag
1/2 teaspoon vinigar

Steep your teabag in 1 cup of boiling water. You may use any tea that appeals to you, peppermint, chamomile, green tea, white tea, mango peach or any other tea of your choice. After the tea has cooled to a comfortable temp, add the vinigar.

After shampooing apply your herbal tea rinse. Let it set for 5 minutes then rinse OR leave the rinse on your hair to act as a natural detangeler. It's the vinegar that helps to restore your the pH balance of your hair and scalp. The tea is for fragrance & freshness. Use once weekly.

You might want to add a drop or 2 of your favorite essential oil to the rinse. Geranium, Lavender, Rosewood, Rosemary, Chamomile, Lemon, Orange or Frankincense would all make great additions to your tea rinse.
